Get to know Josefina Röckert

As a newly graduate, I asked myself what I find most important in an employment. A first thought came quite quickly; being continuously challenged and keeping development in focus. After all, I consider learning to be a great motivator of life. But a second thought followed shortly; being surrounded by a culture I enjoy and feel encouraged to be myself in. At Ascend, I have been fortunate to find all of the above.

Despite starting in the midst of a pandemic, I have been warmly welcomed by every single employee. At Ascend, we strive to enable team deliveries. Being at the early stage of my career, I value this highly. Not only does team deliveries allow space for questions, reflections, and creative collaborations, it further enables seeing coworkers at all levels in action – a great source for inspiration and learning!

Prior to Ascend, I worked for a global medical company, where I focused on communication and change management for several digital transformation projects. It was a great experience and endorsed my interest in driving change. But eventually, I wanted to work for a company where my contributions really mattered, wherefore the fact that Ascend is a small company with a focus on inclusiveness is a perfect fit for me.

From day 1, I have been encouraged and able to explore my interests. I have already been given the opportunity to help develop our Sustainable Business focus area, which is a big passion of mine. I consider this a remarkably unique feature with Ascend. Not only are we involved in a range of different and fun project of varying sizes. Everyone is also undeniably passionate to shape and build Ascend into a great workplace – one where there is room to develop as individuals as well as together as a company. I am very proud to be part of Ascend!
