Get to know Elisabeth Hanning
I started as a management consultant in 2015, focusing on cybersecurity. A topic that is high on many companies’ agendas. However, after some years, I wanted to broaden my skills, and for the last few years, I have worked with many different topics. I really like that every day looks different for a management consultant.
A bit more than two years ago, I stumbled upon a recruitment ad from Ascend, and it was like reading a list of what I was searching for in an employer. A company with a great culture that strives for exceptional work but, at the same time, always makes room for fun. I got even more confident of the match in the recruitment process, which was flexible, perceptive and allowed me to meet many of my then-future colleagues.
At Ascend, everyone is part of building the company. It allows us all to contribute and broaden our knowledge of areas outside our client’s assignment. Seeing the drive and passion everyone at the company has for developing the organization and challenging ourselves is amazing.
After the summer, I will contribute by leading our graduate program, which is a one-year program for recent graduates to kick-start their careers. During the year, they will deliver projects to our clients but also get training on consultancy tools and extra coaching. Finally, the year ends with them delivering a pro-bono project on their own to really use everything they learned during the year. This year’s graduates will be the first we take through end-to-end when we are part of Knowit, which we hope will make the program even more fun, inclusive, and exceptional. I hope our new colleagues will be as impressed as I am with the work we do at Ascend.
