Get to know Ulrika Lonaeus
For me, Ascend is about the people. I felt done after four years in consulting and was ready to take on new challenges. I met Ascend at an event and got invited to a lunch where I was convinced that consulting still was a good idea (which it was), but above all, I felt inspired by the persons I met during the process. I am now six years into my time at Ascend, and my fun colleagues still keep me inspired.
At Ascend, I’ve continued to help customers develop within commercial excellence, but I’ve also done projects in entirely other areas. Many of our customers must create flexibility and set a high pace to meet customer demands and new market trends. To create prerequisites for this, I’ve supported customers in developing their leadership and steering structure which has been both fun and challenging. One common denominator for me has been that I enjoy working with mid-size companies where we can make a large impact and reach quick (and great!) results.
This year I’ve had the chance to overlook our Accelerate program, where we ensure five graduates get a kick-start in their consulting careers. I’ve truly enjoyed supporting them in their start, which was a bit special since the merger with Knowit was announced in their 2nd work week. The energy and drive they bring to the company are valuable, and it’s been really fun to see their rapid development these first few weeks.
